The Sutherland is the Britannian Army's fifth-generation mass-production Knightmare, the frame most soldiers in Area 11 actually pilot. It is modular, reliable and cheap enough to field in numbers.
Its standard rifle and tonfa loadout is outclassed by prototype frames, but the Sutherland's ubiquity is the point: Britannia holds Areas with logistics and numbers, not just aces.
