About the title
Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion aired on MBS and TBS from October 2006 to July 2007, produced by Sunrise. Goro Taniguchi directed, Ichiro Okouchi wrote the series composition, CLAMP designed the characters and Kotaro Nakagawa composed the music.
The story begins in an alternate timeline where the Holy Britannian Empire has conquered Japan and renamed it Area 11. Lelouch vi Britannia, an exiled prince living under a false name, receives the Geass — the power of absolute command — from C.C. and becomes Zero, the masked leader of the Black Knights.
Season 1 is a closed political tragedy about masks, chess and the cost of getting what you asked for. Its sequel, R2, is a separate title in this atlas; the two are linked as franchise entries, not merged into one record.
