The Gawain is a large prototype recovered from Kamine Island, equipped with a Druid system and Hadron cannons. It is less agile than the Lancelot but carries enough firepower to act as a command platform.
Lelouch uses it as Zero's mobile headquarters, with C.C. often at the controls. The Gawain's size and sensor suite support a command role.
